NBC Universal Announces Comedy Short Cuts Film Festival

Announcing NBC Universal’s Third Annual Comedy Short Cuts Film Festival, a unique showcase of short, comedic films and videos produced with a culturally diverse production team, cast, or theme.

NBC Universal uses this festival as a pipeline for uncovering and developing diverse talent in front of and behind the camera. Semi-finalists’ films will be screened before an industry audience in New York in September in conjunction with the New York Television Festival and finalists will be sent to Los Angeles for an exclusive industry screening in October on the Universal Studios lot.

The winning filmmaker will be given the chance to pitch to NBC comedy development and meet with NBC Universal’s top network, studio, cable, and film executives. Final Call for entries in Tucson Film & Music Festival

The Tucson Film & Music Festival (TFMF) has announced its final call for entries for the 4th annual festival, to be held Columbus Day weekend (October 10-12) in Tucson, AZ. The Tucson Film & Music Festival showcases music and music-related shorts, documentaries and features, with a focus on artists with a connection to Arizona and to the Southwest.

The TFMF is currently accepting documentaries, narrative features, shorts, and music videos. Filmmakers from AZ and the Southwest are particularly encouraged to submit.
