We are proud to introduce our speaker, Jim Waters!

After studying photography, film making and media at the University Of Wisconsin-Madison, Jim moved to New York City where he worked at an Independent Film company and numerous audio recording studios. Eventually, he opened his own studio (Waterworks Recording) where he worked with many New York bands of the late 80’s and early 90’s (including Sonic Youth, Jon Spencer, Jay Mascis as well as Lou Reed and John Cale). He also worked on Academy Award nominated film Radio Bikini.

Jim moved to Tucson and opened up another studio (called Waterworks Recording West) where he continues to to record music (contributing to many sound tracks) and doing line mixing and field recording for film and video.
