Writer’s Competition Announced
Director’s Seat Productions, LLC will be hosting a writers competition where 3 to 5 page screenplays will be submitted, voted on, and finally shot as short films during 2009. I would like to invite anyone who is interested in writing a story to log on to www.directorsseat.com and click on “contests” if they would like to learn more about how to submit a screenplay.
On May 1, 2009, the screenplays will be voted on by a committee of 4 people. In addition, there will be online voting for best screenplay at http://www.directorsseat.com/Directors_Seat_LLC/Screenplays/Screenplays.html The winning screenplay will then enter a second phase of competition where Tucson filmmakers will all direct THE WINNING screenplay as they interpret it. During the Fall 2009 screening, the audience will have the opportunity to view all versions of the same story as it is told through the filmmakers interpretation.
Friendly awards will be given for Audience Choice for Best Film — Best Cinematography — Best Actor — Best Sound Design
